A qualified HF Program Presenter may be booked for a 2 hour session for each class, during which:
- An informal mat session is conducted where children have the opportunity to interact and share their experiences. This includes an introduction to some of the materials and equipment they may encounter.
- A video [8mins] is shown to consolidate the topics already discussed and introduce the role play activities.
- Ample time is set aside for children to participate in a range of activities using a variety of hospital equipment. The primary aim is to facilitate learning through dramatic play.
- To complement the program, Medical Hire Kits are available on a weekly basis.
- Resources available directly from the presenter include the Hospital Stimulus Picture Kit (A3), the latest books and disposable medical items.
